UCLA basketball tickets have long been special for many, many reasons.  When you think of sports dynasties, you think of Lombardi’s Packers, Auerbach’s Celtics, the Yankees of several eras and the Montreal Canadiens.  Wooden’s Bruins can stand up to every one of them and then some.  Listing all of the legendary players of UCLA lore would be too numerous for this forum, but rest assured that an entire wing of the Hall of Fame could be filled with UCLA alumni. However, in recent decades, the Bruins, compared to the almost unattainable standard history had set, was not achieving at their historic levels.  They did break through for an NCAA title in 1995, but other than that, Westwood’s trophy case has not had any recent additions in recent times.  That could all be changing right before our eyes, as the 2007 Bruins are beginning to look like the great Bruin teams of old.  They advanced all the way to the NCAA Final last year before losing a tough game to Florida, and so far this season, it looks as though they haven’t missed a beat.  There are reasons for this resurgence, and we’ll examine a couple of them below.Ben HowlandWhen Howland took over at UCLA in 2003, the Bruins had officially fallen on hard times.  They had become one of those teams that always seemed to recruit well, but they were at best a hit-or-miss bubble team for the NCAA Tournament.  UCLA basketball tickets were actually quite easy to find for most games, and the Bruin faithful were down in the dumps.Howland came aboard and instilled several things that the program had been missing.  The first element was discipline.  Howland’s teams never give a game away, and that was a hallmark of his teams at Pittsburgh before he came to Westwood.  He also put together a roster that actually played hard-nosed defense, which was not something UCLA had been known for in recent years.  There were even whispers that UCLA was “soft,” and that was unacceptable for everyone involved with the program. The Right Kind of TalentUnder Howland, the program stopped simply chasing all the five-star recruits it could gather and began to build a team that together would become a unit that covered all the moving parts a successful squad needs.  They added scoring and athleticism, of course, but they also added defense, rebounding, guards that could dribble and distribute, and several role players who take care of all the “little” things that win games in the end but may not show up on the stat sheet.  What it All MeansWhat this all means is that with the talent, consistency and stability that once again exists at UCLA, the team will be able to sell its own tradition and history to recruits, and it’s beginning to look like every year should be one when UCLA should contend for the Final Four.  The fans in Westwood wouldn’t expect anything less, and UCLA basketball tickets are once again nearly impossible to find.

UNC basketball tickets are cherished by college basketball fans both in North Carolina and around the world, as the Tar Heels have a winning tradition that’s nearly unmatched in college basketball. When someone even mentions the phrase “college hoops,” North Carolina is one of the first teams people often think of, and that’s not going to change any time soon. Below we’ll take a look at the Tar Heels’ prospects for the upcoming season, and it looks like they could be adding to their legend come spring of 2007.Key ReturneesThe Tar Heels are loaded. There’s no other way to say it, and teams will find this out first-hand throughout the season. There’s no substitute for pure talent, and UNC has it in droves. This talent starts with Tyler Hansbrough, thought by many to be the best big man in the country. Not only is he blessed with a ton of natural gifts, but Hansbrough also makes a habit of outworking opponents both on the court and off of it. He’ll be the key on a very talented team.Other returnees include Wes Miller, Danny Green, Bobby Frasor and late addition Mike Copeland, all of whom enjoyed solid seasons last year. However, their biggest challenge will be holding off the superstar freshman class that will challenge for minutes.AdditionsUNC basketball tickets will be in even higher demand this season, as UNC has added what many experts believe to be the most star-studded recruiting class in history, surpassing even the “Fab Five” from Michigan. The class includes point guard Ty Lawson and shooting guard Wayne Ellington, both of whom were rated as the best players in the nation at their position by recruiting analyst Bob Gibbons. The class also features big men such as 6-9 forwards Brandan Wright and Alex Stepheson and 6-8 center Deon Thompson. These highly-skilled players, also high school All Americans, will supply more ammunition down low and help Hansbrough dominate the paint.ChallengesThe only real challenges facing the Tar Heels this year are the rugged ACC, led by Duke and Maryland, and this conference tests every team, no matter how talented. However, the Tar Heels have a top-notch coach, and Roy Williams will guide the youngsters through the rigors of the ACC season. The biggest, challenge, however, will be how Williams deals with an embarrassment of riches in regards to his roster. Many scouting services state that UNC has 13 players who could start for any program in the country, so Williams will have to find that balance between keeping everyone involved and happy so chemistry is protected and figuring out roles for all of these great players. Chemistry and role definition are two vital parts of any championship team, and Williams will need to handle that early in the season.Overall, there’s no reason to think that UNC won’t be in the Final Four this year, and no one would be surprised to see them cut down the nets. If you want to watch this Tar Heels team add to the UNC legacy, get your UNC basketball tickets today.

The Golden Gophers have surprised a few college basketball experts by rushing out to the front of the Big Ten basketball standings. Their will over No. 9 Louisville made national headlines. Let’s face it: Gophers are hot right now. If you were mulling over the idea of getting some Minnesota Golden Gophers basketball tickets at http://www.stubhub.com/minnesota-golden-gophers-basketball-tickets, you’ve past the point where it’s good to continue to think. You are now in a time of action. Just in case you missed out on learning about the Golden Gophers, here’s the low-down.
—Record as of December 22, 2008—
10-0 (first place in Big Ten Conference)
—Key Victories So Far—
Colorado State, Virginia, Louisville
The Gophers are digging their way to the AP Top 25 with key wins over quality programs, the biggest and best of which was the win over Louisville, which also contained the Tubby Smith-Rick Pitino rivalry. According to an article by Marcus Fuller at http://TwinCities.com, Tubby said this concerning the matchup with Pitino:
“It’s always bittersweet when you’re playing against friends. Any time you play against your mentor or a great coach like (Pitino), you’ve hoped you communicated to your team that you have to raise your level of play. You have to play with energy and enthusiasm, but you have to stay composed. I thought our guys exemplified that extremely well.”
Minnesota has performed brilliantly versus some good teams, and the win over the cardinals wasn’t the only time they looked like a sure bet for the NCAA Tournament. Fans who purchased Minnesota Golden Gophers basketball tickets at StubHub for their game against Virginia, saw that freshman Colton Iverson was dominant in the paint. There will be more challenges coming soon, which leads us to…
—Big Games Coming Up—
Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State
Unfortunately for Gophers fans, the schedule will get really tough really quickly. They start in on the conference portion of the schedule on December 31st when they play the Michigan State Spartans at home. Michigan State is 19th in the latest AP Top 25 poll, Ohio State is 17th, and Penn State is unranked, but working on a nice 10-2 record.
—Future Prediction—
Finish in the top three of the Big Ten. Go to the Tourney. First Round elimination.
According to Yahoo! Team Report’s Quote to Note, Coach Tubby Smith has said, about the difference between last year and this year:
“There is usually a holdover or a group of players that had to learn a new system. They now understand that system, they’ve had a year of indoctrination and the new players you’re bringing in, there isn’t that learning curve. They’re getting on the court and off the court tutoring from the returning players … that’s very beneficial to the newcomers we have.”
Basically, the Gophers are buying into Tubby’s game plan, and that’s got to be a good thing. What a difference a year makes, huh? But it’s still too early to say this team can last the whole season, through to the Tournament. They might get to the NCAA’s with some solid play against the Big Ten, which is a nice place to be right now, but don’t bet on anything more than a first round elimination. The future looks bright for this team, and in another year or so when Iverson develops and gets talent around him they could be Final Four material.
BIO:

Duke has been doing just fine this year, ranked in the top ten, winning games by huge margins and generally impressing the college basketball writers from the Atlantic Coast to the Pacific. But no matter how good the Blue Devils are right now, so long as North Carolina goes without a loss, they’ll be considered the No. 2 team in the ACC and, perhaps by some, the No. 2 team in the nation. A win over UNC in the upcoming conference part of the season will turn the tide nicely, but until then, Duke can probably be thankful that they pressure isn’t so heavily on them. Here are some of the basics about Duke hoops as we head towards Christmas break.
—Record as of December 22, 2008—
10-1, No. 2 in the ACC, No. 6 in the AP Top 25 Poll
—Key Victories So Far—
Michigan, Montana, Purdue, Xavier
What? Michigan? Yes, the Devils beat Michigan… right before they lost to them. Few people mention that when they talk about one of the only flaws in the year so far for Duke. That they had faced the Wolverines earlier is significant, because, as you can guess, seeing a team multiple times allows for adjustments, so winning the rematch is easier. If Duke got the best of Michigan because they were better prepared the first time, the advantage in that department switched the second time around. But enough apologizing for the Michigan loss. The Blue Devils also had decisive, convincing victories over ranked teams in Purdue and Xavier. Fans who have been purchasing Duke Blue Devils basketball tickets at http://www.stubhub.com/duke-basketball-tickets have gotten to see some good teams, as the schedule was no push-over in the non-conference part of the year.
—Big Games Coming Up—
Virginia Tech, Davidson, Florida State, Georgetown
The Duke basketball team won’t get to rest too long, so if you’re a Duke Blue Devils basketball tickets buyer, you should take the opportunity to get some relaxation over the holiday break. Duke will have to play VT, Davidson, Florida State and Georgetown as the conference part of the year slowly develops. Davidson is a game that stands out, if only because it features the most adorable little National Player of the Year candidate, his mother in the stands, a North Carolina rivalry and the Blue Devils, one of the most popular teams in the country. Only for those reasons should you try to find tickets at StubHub. For pure competition and AP Poll numbers-based action, the Georgetown game is your best bet.
—Future Prediction—
Finish No. 3 in the ACC, No. 2 Seed in the Tourney, Final Four finish
For some reason I think the Blue Devils will have a tougher time in the regular season than they will in the Tournament- the exact opposite of they way they’ve acted in recent years. Duke is strong in the backcourt and on the wings, which is a great way to get wins in the Big Dance, but causes some frustration and faltered steps in the long ACC stretch of the season. They’ll probably drop at least one of their games to UNC, and another couple to a team like Wake Forest , Clemson or North Carolina State. However, I think this is the year Coach K finally has a Tournament horse that can whinny all the way to Moneytown.

Mid major college basketball teams are always a delight to root for. Everyone loves an underdog, and there’s no place where they underdogs get their due more dramatically than college basketball, where the search for the next Cinderella begins in December. So let’s go on a search, shall we, for the next Cinderella.
The criteria for this list is strict. You can’t have been- or be currently- ranked in the AP Top 25 in order to be considered a sleeper, a Cinderella, a party crasher. That means no Gonzaga, no Davidson, no Xavier. Although these schools have much lower athletic budgets that BCS schools, and normally they would qualify, their days as the underdog are over. Everyone expects that these teams will be good, and they’re dominating their conferences. Here are some teams who could sneak up on the college hoops world in true Cinderella fashion. They’re what we’d call mid-major mid-rangers. Take a look. Then, check out http://www.stubhub.com/ncaa-basketball-tickets for some NCAA basketball tickets to see these teams play live.
—San Diego—
Big Wins So Far: Valpariso, Nevada, Oregon
Possible Stumbling Blocks: Gonzaga and St. Mary’s. San Diego will have to play these two teams (who are on the national radar and thus not mid-rangers) two times each in the later part of the season. It’s possible that the Toreros will take the rest of the WCC undefeated, but getting to the tournament means beating two superior teams in the WCC title tourney, which is easier said than done. Good news for people looking to buy NCAA basketball tickets to see the WCC Tourney: It’s in Las Vegas this year.
—Vermont—
Big Wins So Far: Delaware, Loyola
Possible Stumbling Blocks: The best thing about Vermont right now is that they’re flying way, way under the radar. After getting a lot of love within the ranks of the America East coaches in the preseason, the Catamounts have mounted a good-but-not-great 5-2 record. Their schedule is not very tough, so by the end of the year, they could be in a good position to win the conference and get to the NCAA Tournament, totally undetected. Talk about party crashers. However, Boston University looms. They will play the Bulldogs twice before the regular season is over, then presumably meet them in the conference title game.
—Creighton—
Big Wins So Far: New Mexico, Oral Roberts, Dayton
Possible Stumbling Blocks: Creighton used to be the class of the Missouri Valley Conference, but for some time they’ve been relatively quiet, making the Bluejays a prime candidate for mid-ranger status. Their schedule is pretty weak this season, with hardly any non-conference challenges. Their real tests will come against fellow Missouri Valley teams like Evansville, Drake, and the currently undefeated Illinois State. Fans looking to get some nice NCAA basketball tickets should think about the Creighton Bluejays page at StubHub. And if you want to put a mid-major on your watch list, this isn’t a bad team either.

NCAA Basketball tickets to see UNC play just got more valuable as North Carolina underclassmen Tywon Lawson, Wayne Ellington and Danny Green will all be returning to school next season after testing the waters of the NBA Draft. It appeared Lawson was looking for a promise in the Top 20 picks and didn’t receive one while Ellington and Green didn’t receive enough of an indication that they would be drafted at all. While this puts these kids’ NBA dreams on hold for another year, it does wonders for UNC’s title hopes this season. The trio rejoins National Player of the Year Tyler Hansbrough and likely makes the Tar Heels the preseason number one.

I don’t see a way the Tar Heels won’t be preseason favorites to win it all. I’m sure coach Roy Williams couldn’t be happier. UNC has returned to their rightful spot as an ACC power since Williams’ 2004 return to his alma mater. The Heels won the title in 2005 with an NBA prospect-filled roster that included Raymond Felton, Rashad McCants and Sean May. UNC will open this season with the best starting lineup and the deepest bench in the nation.

As far the three returning players are concerned, I think they’re all future NBA guys. Lawson projects to be the best pro of the group and is main guy who will help UNC sell NCAA Basketball tickets this season. There are few players faster than Lawson on the court from end to end. He’s a pure point guard with good floor vision and a solid jump shot and plays tenacious defense. He’s a likely first-rounder next year and a potential lottery pick if he really tears it up this season. I think Lawson has the ability to be a similar NBA player to UNC alum Ray Felton, but not quite as good. He’s undersized for the position in the NBA and could struggle getting to the rim in the pros.

Ellington is a shooter, pure and simple. His silky smooth jump shot will help him find a niche in the NBA but he’s not a future all star. There is a chance he plays himself into the first round of the 2009 Draft, but it’s more probable that he ends up being a second round pick. His athleticism doesn’t blow anyone away and he’s undersized for the two guard position at 6-4. If he can find a team where he can make a living out of hitting open shots then he could have a solid NBA career, but if he’s asked to create his own shot he’s going to struggle on the next level.

Green is a tougher prospect to project. He really came on strong in his junior year and showed NBA scouts some things they look for in an NBA prospect. He’s big enough and athletic enough to play the two in the pros and has a nice outside jumper. He’s also a really good defender. He doesn’t finish at the rim very well and doesn’t seem to have much ability to take over games even on the collegiate level. He could be a solid role player in the mold of a poor man’s Shane Battier, but it’s too hard to project at this point.

Regardless of their NBA careers, the return of these three players to the collegiate ranks is sure to help sell NCAA Basketball tickets wherever they play.

North Carolina Tar Heels Basketball Tickets – How to Buy Tar Heels Tickets Online

As an avid North Carolina Tar Heels basketball fan, I’ve spent my fair share of hard-earned money to go see games in person. After being scammed on tickets countless times, I recently found a way to buy my North Carolina Tar Heels basketball tickets online. Now I’m saving a ton of money on going to see games, and I wanted to write this article to share my experience with you.

I’ve been a basketball fan pretty much my whole life. But it wasn’t until I moved to North Carolina about four years ago that I became a Tar Heels basketball fan. I love going out to see the games. The atmosphere is always electric in the stands, and it seems like the Tar Heels win every time I go to see them. Getting my tickets for these games hasn’t always been easy though. I’ve wasted a lot of money over the years trying to buy cheap tickets from less than reputable sources. Finally, I found a way to buy North Carolina Tar Heels basketball tickets without getting scammed. But before I get to that, let me tell you a little bit about how I got taken so many times.

One thing I’ve learned in my search to buy cheap Tar Heels basketball tickets is that if the price of the tickets seems too good to be true, it probably is. You see, I don’t make a ton of money. So paying retail for tickets to go see the games was never an option for me. So I started searching on classifieds sites Craigslist to find people selling tickets to the games I wanted to see. I was able to actually get the tickets a couple of times, but they were never as described in the ad. On top of that, I had to drive all over creation to meet people and exchange cash (which I think is shady) to get my tickets. On a couple of occasions, I had paid the seller for the tickets online and they never showed up to deliver them to me. So I ended up losing my money and my chance to go see it the game.

Finally, I stumbled across a ticket broker’s website. The prices on the tickets were so low that I was skeptical about it being a scam. Apprehensive, I ordered a pair of tickets for me and a friend anyway. To my surprise, the tickets were delivered right to my front door on the following day. So I decided to order another set of tickets from the broker. Just like the first time the tickets showed up without incident. Ever since then, I’ve been using the same ticket broker to buy cheap North Carolina Tar Heels basketball tickets on a regular basis. I never have to worry about being scammed out of my tickets ever again.

If you’ve been looking for a way to buy cheap North Carolina Tar Heels basketball tickets online, you can’t go wrong using an online ticket broker. The prices are low, the service is great, and the delivery of the tickets is fast. Try it out — I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Kansas basketball tickets are as cherished as any sports tickets in the world, and every season brings new hope to the entire state. The Jayhawks are one of those truly historic programs, and the coming season is one sprinkled with hopes that are as high as any in recent seasons. It’s hard to believe that a program that’s as consistently good as Kansas hasn’t won a national title since 1988, and below will be a look at whether or not that “drought” is about to end.
Key Returnees
It’d be easier to talk about who isn’t returning for Kansas – nobody. The Jayhawks get all five starters back, and the scary thing is that they’re still young. Kansas features three sophomores and two juniors in their starting five, and that includes stud forward Brandon Rush, a prospect who could easily have gone on to the NBA after last season, but is back to build on his early success in Lawrence. G Mario Chalmers is also a feared slasher, and Kansas’ bigs are also a force in the paint.
Additions
Even though Kansas returns every starter, that doesn’t mean that Kansas basketball tickets won’t allow fans to see some new top-notch talent. Kansas landed two top-15 recruits in F Darrell Arthur and PG Sherron Collins, and each is expected to jump immediately into the rotation. Arthur in particular may be called on early, as starting C Sasha Kaun injured his knee just before the season, and his immediate availability is in doubt. Collins will also see plenty of time, as Coach Bill Self loves to bring waves of pressure and high-intensity defense at opponents, and Collins is more than quick and athletic enough to be a problem for opposing guards.
Challenges
The challenges appear to be few in number for Kansas, as this team is loaded and ready for their schedule. Perhaps the biggest challenge Kansas will face is in regards to their mentality. The Jayhawks started last season terribly, and then ripped off 15 wins in their final 16 games to roll into the NCAA Tournament with a lot of momentum. Many “experts” picked Kansas to win it all.
However, those predictions proved wrong immediately, as Kansas was stunned in the first round by Bradley. The issue? Kansas was no longer an underdog or a surprise. They had a target on their back for the first time, and that target is firmly in place this season before it even starts, as the Jayhawks are the overwhelming favorite in the Big 12.
Overall, if Self can keep his team focused and loose, Kansas basketball tickets could be available well into March and ultimately for the Final Four.

Anyone who loves college basketball should act now to get their hands on Florida Gators basketball tickets, as this team that’s being led by a core of talented players may be setting itself up for one of the greatest single-class runs in the history of the sport.
Whether the Gators’ recent dominance on the national landscape continues for years to come is immaterial at this juncture, as with each passing week, fans everywhere are reminded why this team is unquestionably the best in the land. Below we’ll look at several reasons for the Gators’ ascent to the top of the mountain in their sport, and we’ll also look at their prospects for a repeat NCAA title this spring.
A Superstar Coach
It’s hard to believe that Gators’ coach Billy Donovan has already been stalking the sidelines in Gainesville for more than 10 years. Donovan came to Florida as one of the proverbial coaching “prodigies” in the industry, but the fact is that some of these future stars work out while others do not. Donovan had only two years of head-coaching experience prior to his stint at Florida, and he was only 32 years old when he came aboard.
All he’s done is taken everything he learned from the likes of Rick Pittino and established the Gators as a national force, and that began long before last season’s championship run. Donovan led the Gators to the Final Four and into the title game in 2000, and his in-game coaching is as renowned as his recruiting. Basically, Donovan rarely gets out-coached, and in the turbulent world of college hoops, Donovan’s ability will assure that Florida Gators basketball tickets will always be hard to find.
The “’04’s”
The current group of Gators is led by what is shaping up to be one of the greatest recruiting classes of all time, and they have even dubbed themselves the “04’s,” as that’s the year each of them came to Gainesville. The class of Cory Brewer, Joakim Noah, Al Horford and Taurean Green present a dynamic nucleus of players with unbelievable skills and loyalty. Any of these players could’ve moved on to the NBA after last season’s title, but they all decided to return, and that’s good news for the fans in Florida and bad news for anyone who faces the mighty Gators from this point forward.
Overall, this team is loaded, mature, motivated and ready to stake their claim on basketball history. They are tournament-tested and can beat you in any of several ways. Therefore, you need to get your Florida Gators basketball tickets now, as you could be witnessing one of the greatest runs in college basketball in the past 20 years.
