The Golden State Warriors is Oakland, California’s main and only basketball team. The team, in the beginning, was baptized as the Golden State Warriors, but most people only refer to them as the Warriors. The team was birthed in 1946 and under the original name Philadelphia Warriors. They were based out of Philadelphia Pennsylvania. The franchise was extremely lucky and managed do away with a win during inaugural season championship of the Basketball Association of America, or the presently known NBA. It was only in 1962 when the franchise moved to San Francisco, their new home. Along with the team’s move, their name was changed to the San Francisco Warriors until they year 1971, when it changed again to become the Golden State Warriors. Despite their many name changes, the team has a group of loyal fans who readily buy Warrior tickets, as soon as they’re sold.
The Golden State Warriors are responsible for some of basketball’s most unforgettable moments, winning the championship for a total of 3 times. Fans who had gotten Warrior tickets in the inaugural championship of 1946 to 1947 were fortunate enough to witness a win. Those who again purchased Warrior tickets in the championship of 1955 to 1956 and that of 1974 to 1975 were also treated to respective victories. In fact, the Golden State Warriors’ record stands as 5th in the total number of wins.
The first year the Golden State Warriors were around, Peter Tyrell, the same owner of the Philadelphia Rockets, the hockey team of the state, owned the franchise. Peter Tyrell then got the assistance of Eddie Gottlieb, a long time promoter, not to sell Warrior tickets, but to serve as the team’s coach and general manager. Under the Eddie Gottlieb and basketball sensation Joe Fulks’ expertise, the team demolished the Chicago Stags and walked away as champions.
During the 1955 to ’56 season, the Warriors were champions once again after defeating the Fort Wayne Pistons. Some of the members of that team have made it into the basketball Hall of Fame namely Paul Arizin, Michael Bryson and Neil Johnston. 1959 was the fateful year that the team managed to obtain Wilt Chamberlain in a draft. His records and style of play revolutionized basketball and changed it to what it is today. At one time, Chamberlain made 100 points against the New York Knicks, making that game and those Warrior tickets one of the most memorable in basketball history.
After these stellar performances, the Golden State Warriors championship stint seemed to go down. They went through rough times, causing them to lose their place among NBA’s top teams. Today, the team is at the brink of rebuilding, strengthening their coaching staff, as well as their present members. With much work and dedication, the Warriors will one day become the champions again!
Golden State Warriors tickets are made for fans, who enjoy watching some real fighting action when it comes to basketball. The Warriors may have changed their name a few times, but they certainly have not changed the way they play the game- this is why the team is still a strong contender for championships win today.
The Golden State Warriors are based in Oakland, California, and was founded in 1946. They are part of the National Basketball Association in the western conference and the pacific division. They play their home games from the Oracle Arena and have two championship wins, six conference titles, and seven division victories to their name.
Changing Names, Changing Places
The Golden State Warriors have come a long way from where they started out. The team was founded in 1946, as part of the BAA. At the time, the team was known as the Philadelphia Warriors, who picked up one championship win in 1956. In 1962, the franchise was shifted to the San Francisco area and as a result, was renamed the San Francisco Warriors. The team continued to play well and in 1971, the name was changed to the Golden State Warriors. To date, the Warriors remain the only team that does not specify the team state or city in the name.

With the settling of the new name, came a rise in the demand of Golden State Warriors tickets. This was mainly due to the drafting of a number of new and talented players- basketball fans and observers predicted big wins, if the team could find a common vibe and make it work on the courts. This however proved to be more difficult than it seemed.
Sparring Warriors
By the mid nineties, most of the fans had bought Golden State Warriors tickets, in order to see its three superstars in action- Nelson, Webber and Sprewell. What should have worked magic on the team soon backfired as in-fighting among these three eventually led to all three of them leaving the team. The Warriors suddenly found themselves on loose ground and it seemed like the team was coming apart at the seams.
Sales of Golden State Warriors tickets peaked slightly in the new millennium, as a number of fresh players put a competitive edge to the team’s performance. While this was definitely an improvement, all of these players were stars in the making and the team as a whole was very young. When it came to battling with more experienced and elite teams in the NBA, the Warriors just could not deliver. By 2004, the team was in trouble yet again, but this time, a shuffling of players and personnel was initiated. This is why the team bounced back with a bang in 2006, becoming strong contenders in 2007. The Warriors even made playoff history in 2007, when they had their first playoff win in 16 years. Today, the Warriors are a little more experienced and are ready to take things way past the playoffs. Don’t miss your chance to see the Warriors do battle on the basketball court- you can get in touch with an online authorized ticket vendor to order Golden State Warriors tickets.

We love the NBA because of the players’ athleticism and life stories. The off-court stories of these NBA stars are just as interesting as the on-court action. So, you can imagine that each big time NBA game participated by teams with popular players can draw such media hype, which is especially true for TV broadcast. These much awaited NBA events may appeal to you as a viewer and a fan; but as a wagerer and one that participates in NBA betting, do not get carried away with the hype. Do not be the type of gambler who puts his money on all big NBA TV events. What do Pete “the Pistol” Maravich and Magic Johnson have in common? If you answered that they were both great play makers and masters at passing the basketball, then you would be correct. If you would like to become an elite basketball player, it is essential that you master the fundamentals of passing a basketball. Why? It is very difficult for any basketball player to compete and succeed at the highest level–especially if he would like to win championships–if he does not learn how to pass a basketball effectively to his teammates.
Basketball is a team sport. Unfortunately, a lot of basketball players, make the mistake of thinking that they can win games and championships by solely outscoring their opponent(s). Not a single basketball player, since the invention of basketball by James Naismith in 1891, has ever won a championship without involving his teammates–that is over 100 years and counting!
Even Michael Jordan, one of the greatest basketball players of all time, did not win his first NBA championship ring until after he learned how to “share” the basketball with his teammates by creating scoring opportunities not only for himself but also for his teammates–in essence, he improved his basketball passing skills. In a nutshell, great basketball players know how to pass the ball.
With that said, there are different type of passes that you can make as a basketball player: Bounce Pass, Chest Pass, Overhead Pass, Underhand Pass, Baseball Pass, and the Hook Pass. Each type of pass is useful for different game situations. And, you as a basketball player should definitely try to master all the different type of basketball passes. However, only the chest pass will be covered in this article.
How To Make A Chest Pass.
The chest pass is one of the most important passes in basketball. To make the chest pass, do the following:
1) Place one hand on either side of the ball, fingers spread evenly and loosely; 2) Hold the ball in front of your chest; 3) Pull your hands together until your thumbs are about four inches apart; and, 4) Keep your elbows close to the body.
How To Make A Chest Pass To A Teammate:
1) Step directly toward him with either foot; 2) Thrust your arms toward him until they are fully extended; and, 3) At the end of the arm thrust, press your thumbs downward, snap your wrists up slightly and turn the backs of your hands toward each other.
Note:
The ball should be drilled at some point between your teammates shoulders and waist. As the ball travels, it should have good back spin.
The chest pass is effective for many reasons:
1) It enables a player to easily make a fake before an actual pass. 2) It can be fired quickly. 3) It is accurate. 4) It can be used with good power, cutting down the possibility of interception. 5) It can be used at close and medium range. 6) It can be converted into a bounce pass.
The correlation between the success of any basketball player and his ability to pass the ball effectively cannot be emphasized enough. To score in a game of basketball, you must first have an opportunity to shoot the ball. Since there are five opposing players, you cannot always create this opportunity alone. Most of the time, only an accurate pass will lead to a score. This is the epitome of teamwork.
